Sister Sensational Fall Break

Rhonda and I had decided to load up the kids and head down south for our fall break.  This was my first time to drive to Florida so I was a little hesitant.  We decided to break it up the first night by stopping in Atlanta for the night.  The next day felt like an eternity to get there but we finally arrived and had a great time.  I did most of the driving ( if you have driven with my sister you would understand why I did most of the driving----no offence Rhonda).  Here are a few pics from our trip.

Road Trip----Are we there yet?

First night at Pier 60- Chloe gets a flower balloon.

At the Largo park.  We made a few trips around this park while we TRIED
to walk off the food we ate while we were there.

My handsome son.

Love Love Love these two kiddos.

Christian lost this game--he took it better than I thought:)

We had a great fall break.  The water was warm and the weather was perfect.  I don't know if I could do the drive again but give me a year to think about it:-)

VEGAS BABY....

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas........
Well, if you know me at all you know I have no secrets! But also if you know me at all I typically have nothing I could not share so.......

Vegas...

Michael was excited to go to work for a long weekend in October because he was told he could take his wife.....YEAH for me!  I had never been to Vegas and was quiet excited to see what all the fuss was about.
I will admit though we never made it past 12:00 ( midnight) before heading back to our room for lights out ( see I told you nothing exciting). However, I had a great time!  We ate dinner each night with different clients of the company.  It was nice to get to meet so many people--I thought at first I would have a hard time dining with people I did not know but talking comes pretty easy to me and the people were very down to earth and very friendly.

My daily routine consisted of eating breakfast downstairs in a booth beside David Spade ( well only one morning with the famous David Spade).  Next Michael would head off to work while I headed straight to the pool to read my book in the most ultimate form of relaxation.  I would treat myself to  one margarita each day at the pool ( they were $16 a piece, so one was plenty).  I would come in and take a short nap while watching tv and then begin getting ready for our night life.  Night life consisted of playing a few games of Black Jack for Michael and for me trying the slot machines for the first time--I was a true rookie.  Finally we would finish up with dinner and a couple of the nights we went to watch a couple of the shows.

One day instead of going to the pool, I went shopping.  Luches were on my own but appreciated just the same.  It sure beat being back at school trying to eat lunch in about 15 minutes before picking up students from the cafeteria.

I was definitely spoiled-- picked up by limos, given nice little gifts, and having only one thing to worry about--- getting dressed up and out the door for our dinner dates ON TIME.

Michael gathering our luggage at the hotel- The Pallazo

Our hotel was directly connected to The Venetian.  Love their ceilings.

My daily ritual--pool time while Michael worked:-(

Loved our room!  I could have stayed there 24-7
and been perfectly content!

I think the maid service had to replace the
peanut M &M's twice while we were there.

Our night out at Delmonico's Steak House and The Peep Show Las Vegas.

Best Steak EVER........

Loved the bathroom--tv, telephone.....anything you needed.

My make-up table while we were there.

Our hotel.

A little gambling and also a trip to Picasso's for our 4-course dinner.

BIg night out at Margarittaville---Company rented out the entire restaurant/bar.  Views from the rooftop
were amazing.  This picture is at about 11:30 where Michael and I went to an Italian restaurant
at the Venetian for a night cap before heading to bed.

We did not get a chance to see David's show but we did eat
breakfast at the table behind him.

This steak house had the best bone in ribeye.

Always a nice time with my favorite person in the world---my husband, my bestest estest... friend!

What a great time!  No weird or scary stories but a nice romantic time with a great guy:-)

Celebrating Christian's Birthday

Christian started a birthday tradition a few years ago where he forgoes a big party for just a few friends  joining him on one day of adventure.  This year, May 26th was no different, however I think he took on more than he could handle this year when he chose Paint Ball in 100 degree weather.  He survived with a few unsightly bruises ( I was shocked).  He had a great time and I think Michael had just as much fun.  I think they would both agree to wait for cooler weather

Hanging out with his friends the day of the big Paint Ball War.

Gearing up before their big day.

These three ate a hearty breakfast at IHOP.

Let the Games BEGIN!

Happy Birthday Christian!  Hope you had a wonderful day with your friends.  You turned 12 and next year will be a milestone birthday when you become a teenager.  I love you more that you will ever know.  You have made a very proud mother out of me.  Love, Love Love you my dear sweet boy!

Long Overdue...Summer of 2012

I love to blog, for one reason it gives me a visual and written time line of our life.  I just told Michael that I find it sad that I have already forgotten what Christian was like at Chloe's age.  Time goes so fast and the memories are all we seem to have at the end of the day.  Blogging is a nice way to look back and SMILE.
We are so blessed....I feel like I need to say it again BLESSED!!  Michael has always done well in his career but due to his loyalty and passion within one company for years I think he passed up other good opportunities UNTIL now.  Michael has received a couple of promotions at his new job within the last two years---he took a lower level job to get in the door and it paid off in the long or in this case short term.  I am so proud of who he is as a person.  I have always thought he was a great husband, wonderful father, and the most positive person I have ever met-but I have to admit I love watching him reach some of the goals he has set for himself ( that we once thought would be unattainable).  I wish I could bottle up this piece of our life and put it away and pull it out years from now (just like a nice bottle of wine) and drink it up if we may ever need it.  Life is good and my family is the most wonderful gift a girl could ever be given.  So enough of that... here is a peek into our summer break.  Of course a couple of the weeks were without Michael ( someone has to pay for our vacation:-) LOL)

Mini vacation at the Horse Park.  We camped out next to
the Watts' while Michael was in Germany.

Michael, the kids, and I  went with Rhonda, Logan, Jillian, Jaxon,
Mom, and Dad to Holiday World's water park.

Our campsite was beside the ballcourts.
Chloe and Emily Sue had a blast.

Chloe learning how to fish.

I took the kids our for a bike adventure on the bike path.

Michael and the kids waiting in line at Disney World's "It's A Small World".

Here is a picture of the kids with Meemaw and Peepaw.  We stayed with
them for our first week in Florida.  We were eating at Salt Rock.  Christian had his favorite -the Crab Legs!!

Chloe on my shoulders during the light parade at Disney.

Our second week in Florida, Michael joined us and we
stayed at The Resort at Little Harbor.  It was nice but Michael insisted on driving back to
our favorite beach one hour away ( old habits are hard to break).

This was a heated pool----too hot for me, but the kids loved it!

We had a great summer!  Camping, Holiday World's Water Park, Disney's Magic Kingdom, and a nice relaxin time at the beach.  I hope to never forget these moments that I spend with my family.  We were all healthy and happy.  You never know what life has in store so SOAK up every beautiful moment that you can.

April 13th..Chloe's Birthday Blog

Happy Birthday to our little princess!!  What a crazy week-but we pulled it off.  During this week we had our exchange student from Hong Kong visit, my Teacher of The Year ceremony,  a tour of the Horse Park, and a Pipa Performance.  So needless to say at midnight we were blowing up balloons. The bounce house was a huge success as well as the snow cone machine (the snow cone machine was a hit hours after the party was over).  Thankfully Chloe eventually came down from all the suger she had consumed during the day.  We had cupcakes, cotton candy, sugar straws, Hershey Kisses, and the list goes on.  The adults enjoyed hamburgers, hotdogs (with slaw), baked beans, and mac and cheese. It was a beautiful but windy day.  Chloe was blessed to have so many turn out for her party.  She is amazing and a wonderful blessing.

Cupcakes had butterflies and flowers-it went with the wing theme:-)

Bicycle from MeeMaw and PeePaw.

Enjoying her birthday table.
